I don't think I want to go to the Ministry picnic. Dad thinks I'm being silly but it just seems like a bad idea to me.

I-I think I grew more over the summer..my skirt feels shorter..
ugh..the last thing I want is to be any taller. I'm already the same height or taller than most of the boys in my class.
maybe that's why boys never seem interested in me...

I'd forgotten that my birthday is this Sunday. I'd have forgotten completely if Mum hadn't written to ask what I wanted.
